Detection and identification of flammable and explosive liquids using THz time-domain spectroscopy with principal component analysis algorithm

Popis: Nineteen different kinds of liquids were measured with reflection THz-TDS. The liquids were investigated inside an infrared quartz glass cell (IQSC) with a wall thickness of 1.25mm. Then, the results were analyzed with Principal Component Analysis (PCA) algorithm in time domain. The first principle component contribution a rate of 96.5% to all deviation. Our works show that the flammable and explosive liquids can be identified feasibly by THz-TDS with PCA algorithm.
