| Popis: | Eric Kandel decides to do more research on learning and memory, this time using the large neurons of the giant sea slug, Aplysia, as his preparation. Ladislav Tauc, already familiar with Aplysia, collaborates in the experiments, many of which are conducted at the Institut Marey in Paris. Kandel and Tauc discover that even an elementary neural circuit in Aplysia is capable of ‘learning’, displaying both habituation and sensitization. |
