Popis:	Metal matrix composites (MMCs) are becoming more popular as structural materials, and the ability to join them is therefore of considerable practical importance. As these new materials become available, it is necessary to define suitable joining techniques and to understand the processes involved. This document presents a review of the present situation for joining of Al-based MMCs.
