Popis: Disaster related scientific data is multidisciplinary by nature, and comprises data entities from observations, experiments, surveys, simulations, models, and higher-order assemblies, along with the associated information to describe and interpret the data. One of the essential elements of life on this planet is freshwater. Sustainable development with disaster preparedness therefore demands sustainable management of the world’s limited freshwater resources. However, water resources cannot be properly managed unless we know where they are, in what quantity and quality, and how variable they are likely to be in the foreseeable future. The present work with AGORA’s SDI-NODE focuses on connecting dispersed disaster-relevant data to enable easier and faster discovery and access of disaster-related data. The technical framework of environmental data aggregation and unified data sharing method is explored for distributed data integration with a “LOD-enabled SDI-node”.
