Popis:	Toxoplasma gondii is an obligate intracellular protozoan parasite. Overt disease, except in the context of transplacental infection or of immunosuppression, is rare. The immunological basis for the prevention of symptomatic infection is not completely understood. Experiments with passive transfer of immunity in mice suggest that the cellular component is more important than the humoral. To explore the role of T-cells, we concentrated on the activity of interferon gamma (IFN-γ).
