Popis: | Headaches are one of the most frequent illnesses in Europe. In the classification of the International Headache Society headache and prosopalgias are not, however, taken into account sufficiently in relation to functional disturbances of the locomotor system. In this article, four manual-medical headache and prosopalgia syndromes are introduced: the orbitotemporal syndrome (OTS), orofacial syndrome (OFS), nasopharyngeal syndrome (NFS) and the laryngomediastinal syndrome (LMS). Differential diagnosis to migraine, trigeminoautonome headaches and to the tension headache is discussed in detail. This contribution tries to work out specific manual-medical disturbances in connection with typical pain and discomfort descriptions of patients, so represents the attempt of a manual-medical syndrome formation with respect to headache and prosopalgia. |
