Novel Pilot-Aided Channel Estimation Scheme for Power Domain NOMA-UFMC System in Fading Scenarios

Popis: Power Domain Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (PD-NOMA) is promised as a next generation Radio Access Technique (RAT) due to multi user overloading support in frequency domain while users are allocated power slices from the total available transmit power. Users are grouped with significant difference in Signal to Interference Noise Ratio (SINR). This system could significantly benefit from a generalized OFDM waveform known as Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC) in terms of flexibility and relaxed synchronization requirements which is especially required for Cognitive Radio scenario. In this work, we use Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) technique for pilot-based channel estimation algorithm for Power Domain NOMA-UFMC system with filter precoding. Results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme under fading channel conditions, varying pilots and modulation schemes.
