Popis:	The hexane extract of the rhizomes of H. spicatum yielded two known compounds, pentadecane, and ethyl p-methoxycinnamate. The structures of these compounds were established by spectroscopic data (UV, IR, GC, 1 H and 13 C NMR, Mass) and comparison with an authentic compounds. The crude extract, fractions and one of the isolated compounds showed hair growth property.
