Popis: | Characterizing a surface without vision aid is an intrinsic human skill and it proves itself useful in vision impaired environments. The aim of this work is to investigate if an array of tactile sensing modules is capable of giving useful idea of the desired region or object. The accelerometers in the modules must to be calibrated, as they need to be in the same reference axis, without misalignment or incorrect scale factors. After intrinsic and extrinsic calibration, sensors measurements were collected in several points, and a first-order method was used to estimate the coordinate of the object. The sensors were able to give accurate data regarding various curves on the tested model. |
