Popis:	Synthesis of a number of tricyclic compounds with a fused thiophene ring starting from 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4H-cyclohepta[b]thiophen-4-one and benzosuberone is described. Biological testing of these compounds for their antiparasitic activities has been carried out.
