Popis: During 1996–2009, the number and intensity of cyclones passing over the Pacific Rim in the winter was gradually increasing. Their trajectories were becoming more zonal and, hence, the area of the maximum cyclonic intensity shifted from the Bering Sea to the ocean. It has been revealed that if the cyclonic activity over the region increases, the sea surface temperature in the North Pacific as well as in the Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk was increasing mainly in the summer. In the Bering Sea, the water temperature was decreasing in the spring.
