The frequency down-conversion characteristics of the integrated three-section laser are studied in this work. A simulation based on the period-one (P1) dynamical state is carried out to realize the down-conversion of 16 GHz to 4 GHz. And the conversion from 17 GHz to 2 GHz for QPSK signal is experimentally realized. Compared with the schemes based on discrete components, the system structure is simpler and has certain tunability, which provides a method for microwave photonic frequency conversion. |
