Popis: | Activators of protein kinase C induce T cells to become refractory to mitogenic anti-T3 antibodies. A possible mechanism for this unresponsiveness is suggested by the observations that activation of C kinase results in a rapid down regulation of the surface expression of the T3/T cell antigen receptor complex. As well, there is a concommitant phosphorylation of the T3γ and d polypeptides; the γ chain was more extensively phosphorylated than the d chain. No phosphorylation of the T3e chain and the Ti, α and β polypeptides was detected. Evidence was obtained that the T3γ chain is phosphorylated only on serine residues. |
