Popis:	This paper reports two cases of acute pulmonary edema successfully treated, when medical management failed, with continuous positive airway pres sure (CPAP) and spontaneous breathing. The clinical, laboratory, and radio logical findings indicate that this technic offers an alternative to mechanical ventilation when respiratory failure complicates pulmonary edema in infants.
