Popis: Electromagnetic compatibility of integrated circuits is becoming an increasingly important point in the high-speed printed circuit boards development. International standards to quantify the performance of integrated circuits have been set. To solve the problems associated with the prediction of electromagnetic interference between integrated circuits and printed circuit boards, equivalent models of integrated circuits are required both at the intra-equipment and the intra-system levels. Such models can be obtained with sufficient information about the integrated circuit. However, in most practical cases, such information about integrated circuits may not be available to radio-electronic equipment designers. This paper proposes a dipole moment model for analyzing the characteristics of the near and far electromagnetic fields coupling from the integrated circuit, obtained from the near field scanning. The paper also presents an array of electric and magnetic dipole moments used to reproduce the field distributions in the scanning plane above the integrated circuit. The resulting dipole moments can be used as emission sources for an integrated circuit. The presented model of the dipole moment is especially useful for solving problems of radio frequency interference when it is necessary to analyze the noise coupling in the near field accurately.
