Popis: | Many epithelial malignancies have been associated with a predilection for hematogenous spread to the adrenal glands, including those of lung, breast, renal, and gastric regions. Lung cancer represents the primary site from which there is the greatest risk for spread to the adrenals [2]. In staging, adrenal metastases should be evaluated before beginning a radiation therapy [2]. To detect suspected changes of the adrenals and perhaps to integrate them into radiation treatment planning the adrenal gland region was included in computed tomography (CT) scanning for this study. |
