Popis: | INTRODUCTION User-centered design (UCD) is a continuous improvement process that provides a framework for iterative and continuous improvement of EHR usability. Teams with well-developed UCD processes in place include the application of human factors that takes into account human capabilities and human limitations in the context of the environment where the EHR is used. ONC’s Meaningful Use Stage 2 (MU2) Safety-Enhanced Design requirements seem to have addressed the need for widespread application of UCD; however, improvements must take place to ensure the appropriate discipline with which UCD processes are applied. |
