Popis:	Previous studies indicated that hypoxia is associated with a prothrombotic tendency. Exposure of bovine aortic endothelial cells (BAECs) to hypoxia elicits a specific biosynthetic response, including a factor X activator (Xact). Another striking effect of hypoxia on BAECs is the decrease on thrombomodulin on the EC surface. So far, the behavior of human ECs under such conditions has not been reported.
