Popis: A new engineering flight simulation has been implemented on an Electronic Associates, Inc. (EAI) HYSHARE 700 hybrid computer at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. The computer uses a new operating system (MPX) that has both multiuser and multitasking capabilities. The computer is truly a multiprocessing analog/digital system; special inter faces drive the testing and display facilities necessary for a complex human factors simulator. The model includes many detailed subsystem models that provide the control and animation features necessary to perform human factors analysis. The model is among the most complex applications of multiprocessing in flight simulation.
