Research shows effective higher education improves an individual's professional opportunities. Organizations are aware that effective knowledge sharing increases competitiveness. However, little literature can be found focusing on knowledge transfer in higher education from a knowledge management viewpoint. Extending prior knowledge transfer research, we empirically examine antecedents to knowledge transfer from teacher to student by surveying undergraduate students in an introduction to computer concepts course in a Taiwan university. Results highlight several specific factors affecting knowledge transfer. Better understanding of how to effectively transfer knowledge can help institutions improve their service; it can also improve students' learning, thereby improving future prospects. |
