Refrigeration of large scale superconducting systems for high energy accelerators

Popis: For large superconducting accelerators in the energy range of one or several TeV the requirements both for refrigeration capacity and linear extension in space are increasing enormously. Problems related to these dimensions are: size of refrigerators, transportation of coolants over long distances, two phase flow in non equigravitational lines, safety and gas storage. The most important topics are discussed and compared with existing or planned installations.
