Popis: 1. To obtain an equilibrium structure in cold-rolled sheet of ferritic stainless steel stabilized with titanium, the hot-rolled sheet should be subjected to stabilization heat treatment at 950° before cold rolling. 2. The formation of titanium carbides (and not chromium carbides) at 950° improves the ductility of the cold-rolled metal, evidently due to impoverishment of ferrite in interstitial impurities.
