Popis:	A multi-stage gyrotron amplifier is analyzed by the sever design computer program. A detailed study of sever loss is carried out for the TE modes in a simple cylindrical waveguide with one sever region. The space charge wave is ignored to observe the tendency of the sever loss. Results indicate that the characteristics of the gyrotron with a sever resemble those found in other TWT devices.
