| Popis: | In Reply.— You are indeed correct that ascorbic acid was incorrectly put into the list of vitamins "absorbed by active transport" in the first sentence under the heading "Water-Soluble Vitamins." Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is absorbed passively through the jejunal mucosa, as I correctly stated later in the same section. I congratulate you on your alertness in catching this contradiction. |
