As part of a cross-border cooperation program project between Bulgaria and Greece (Interreg), the geotourism potential of the municipality of Madan has been assessed. The assessment was made of the possibilities for the conversion of abandoned mine workings into tourist sites. Eight (8) geotopes are described and the creation of 2 geo-trails is proposed. |
