Popis: | The convergence of digital technologies is reshaping the competitive landscape across various industries. Digital transformation is the new corporate mandate for large industrial companies with pre-digital success. Nonetheless, research and economic reports show that companies are challenged with limit degrees of success in realizing their digital investments. Research targeting digital transformation planning and strategy formulation is still at an early stage. In this paper, we propose a roadmapping framework customized for digital transformation strategic planning. We customize the context, architecture of the roadmap, and the roadmapping process for this application. Moreover, we propose a novel application of the design sprint methodology as a hands-on approach for the roadmapping process. The proposed framework aims at rapidly prototyping a first-cut digital transformation strategic roadmap. Finally, we put forward a future research agenda aimed at maturing the digital transformation planning knowledge and practice. |
