Popis: | This paper describes a method for attaining a perfect squareness of Kerr and Faraday hysteresis in Co/Pt multilayers with large Co to Pt layer thickness ratio by constructing a modulated layer structure. The multilayers were prepared by rf-sputtering. A giant remanent Faraday rotation, up to 0.8°, has been attained in these multilayers. The stepwise hysteresis loop with perfect squareness has also been attained by controlling the intermediate Pt layer thickness. |
