Popis: It is necessary to know the probable character of signals scattered by sea surfaces at low grazing angles while designing the ground radars of remote sea surface observation. Though decameter band signal backscattering has been investigated theoretically and experimentally, the authors think that the data of the scattering are not large enough and include only information concerning the partial cross section of backscattering. The paper shows the results of the energy and spectrum characteristics of radar signals in the 150 MHz band experimental investigation, while they were scattered by the sea surface at low grazing angles of about 0.2...0.5 degrees. All the experiments were carried out at the Sakhalin proving ground.
