Popis: Audience ratings data offer many possibilities for research into the social and economic impact of electronic media. This study analyzes recent JOBEM volumes to assess the ways in which ratings data have been utilized. Most uses involved questions of market competition and structure. The author offers suggestions for new approaches to using "the numbers."
