Popis: | 31st European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 1452-1455 Optical interactions between different junctions in a tandem photovoltaic (PV) cell – referred to as “luminescent coupling”- have been investigated in triple junction devices with different structures using excitationdependent Photoluminescence spectroscopy. A lattice matched and an upright metamorphic device have been used in this work. The results show how the radiative emission of the top junction in the tandem changes in the presence of different light intensity and wavelength. At each light bias intensity, different voltage biases have been applied to the device in order to demonstrate the impact of voltage on the radiative emission. Differences between radiative recombination have been detected for different material structures indicating different coupling effects in each device. |
