Popis: | Tris(t-butylthio) derivatives of arsenic, antimony and bismuth have been prepared in high yield by the reaction of metal fluoride with (t-butylthio)trimethylsilane. The products have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, Raman, proton NMR and mass spectrometry. Attempts to prepare As(V), Sb(V) or S(IV) derivatives were unsuccessful, although the reaction of SF4 or Et2NSF3 suggests the formation of S(IV) intermediates. |
