Popis: | over the past three decades, the massive growth of mobile data traffic through internet and mobile networks has constantly increased. This growth requires target peak rates of 10Gb/s for both indoor and outdoor applications and the only way to achieve such high data rate is by operating at the Millimeter-wave frequencies. Millimeter-wave technology brings a new standard of wireless communication in various areas including mobile devices, automotive, IoT (Internet of Things), medical, military and many others. The evolution of 5G wireless communications requires the development of low cost, lightweight, and low profile SIPs and antennas in a package that are capable of maintaining high performance over a wide bandwidth. This paper presents an all-in-one module solution consists of large dual-band area SiP (System-in-Package) and dual-polarized patch array antenna for 5G mmW outdoor applications. The authors show the development of large arrays up to 4 x 8 and 8 x 8 to cover the low and high bands for 5G mmwave. |
