Popis: Publisher Summary This chapter describes unitary spaces. A coordinate system can be introduced into a Euclidean space, in such a way that, for example, every point or vector in the plane corresponds to a pair of real numbers. Similarly, to every vector in the space, an ordered triple can be associated with real numbers. The chapter highlights two immediate simple generalizations of these ideas, namely, real space and complex space. It discusses the concept of scalars, vectors, and vector spaces.
