Popis: The research reports the results of the corrosion rate data of mild steel in H3PO4 acid as a function of temperature and inhibitor concentration. Potassium iodide was used as a corrosion inhibitor. The weight loss technique was used to evaluate the corrosion rate data. Mathematical and statistical analyses were used to interpret the results. Descriptive statistical analyses showed the distribution of data deviate from normal distribution, which means that most of corrosion rate data were distributed at higher level of inhibitor concentration and lower level of temperature and this preferable case in pickling process. Three mathematical models were suggested to represent the data with high correlation coefficients.
