Popis:	The aim of the experiment was to determine the thickness of the glycocalyx of human erythrocytes of the blood group A. For that purpose, the distance between the electron dense contrasted lipid layer of the plasmalemma and gold sol particles loaded with Helix pomatia lectin was determined. The mean thickness of the glycocalyx under this conditions was 5.9 nm.
