The purpose of this study is to validate our four-item measure of division of cognitive labor within heterosexual households. In this study, we aim to provide evidence of convergent, discriminant, and criterion-related validity of our measure of division cognitive labor. We will also use this study to perform exploratory factor analysis. This preregistered study was developed after an initial round of peer review feedback on our original paper, in which we examine the consequences of the unequal division of cognitive labor on women’s work-related outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic. |
