Bipolar design course with fabrication

Popis: A course is described that provides electrical engineering students at the University of Rhode Island with experience in modern bipolar integrated circuit design. Student designs are fabricated by Cherry Semiconductor Corporation (CSC). Semicustom chips that include digital integrated injection logic as well as linear circuit elements for analog circuits are used. Design engineers from CSC participate in the development of lectures, assignments, and handouts. They also give guest lectures on specific topics. Students benefit from the points of view and particular expertise of practicing engineers actively working on IC design. The course syllabus is presented. >
