Popis: Sexualized substance use (SSU) is the intentional use of certain psychoactive substances immediately before or during sexual activity for the purpose of facilitating, prolonging, and/or intensifying sexual experiences. Recently, this practice has become a significant health concern, as SSU has been associated with adverse physical and psychological health consequences. However, little is known about the motives, effects, and protective factors regarding SSU. In this context, this study aims to examine the role of sexual subjectivity for SSU to better understand the motives for sexualized drug use. To this end, we aimed to recruit participants who have experience with substance use (drugs, alcohol) during sexual activities. In an anonymous online questionnaire, they were asked about a range of sexual practices, substance use, and sexual subjectivity.
