Popis: Consumption is primarily determined by caste, class, culture, connectivity and capability (5C) in normal household, however for the very poor households it’s the culture and education which determined the pattern of food consumption. Tribal households who live at subsistence level, whose consumption pattern is independent of economic indicators like income, interest rate, GDP etc. because their survival depends mainly upon reciprocal exchange. Consumption for survival is an inelastic need while consumption for well-being is elastic one.
