Mid-Infrared Supercontinuum generation in Liquid Filled Hexagonal Photonic Crystal Fiber

Popis: In this paper, supercontinuum (SC) generation has been demonstrated using liquid filled photonic crystal fiber (H-PCF) of hexagonal pattern based on chalcogenide glasses, in three different design variants such as CHCl3 liquid filled, CS2 liquid filled and without liquid or standard H-PCF. From simulation results it is seen that, by applying an optical pulse of pump peak power of 10 kW at 2580 wavelength in 5 mm long CHCl3 filled H-PCF, wideband SC spectra from 1 μm to 16 μm could be generated. Moreover, by utilizing CS2 filled H-PCF, SC spanning up to 11 μm could be obtained by applying 5 kW peak power. The proposed design technique could be applicable in the field of laser and spectroscopy application.
