Popis: Veoneer is the single largest supplier of thermal sensing systems in the automotive marketplace. As the leader, Veoneer continues to innovate smaller cameras with increased resolution, while adding critical safety features such as pedestrian detection, animal detection and automatic emergency braking. Far infrared cameras are rapidly expanding into the autonomous vehicle space by providing an essential added modality for sensing objects in complex driving situations. In this keynote, Mr. Stuart Klapper will discuss where automotive infrared systems are headed in the future. Next generation night vision cameras are anticipated to be at least 50 percent smaller with VGA resolution. Some concepts include wider field of view cameras and implementation of multiple cameras for 360-degree coverage surrounding the vehicle. Night vision technology is viewed as unique for handling complex situations where other technologies like LiDAR, radar and vision cameras may have limitations.
