Popis: The thermal conversions of three-dimensional polymethylsilsesquioxane in the temperature interval 197–465°C have been investigated by isothermal TGA and IR spectroscopy. In this temperature interval there is condensation of the residual SiOH groups formally obeying the patterns of second order reactions with an activation energy 34 kJ/mole and rearrangement of the cyclic siloxane fragments with increase in the relative proportion of cycles of larger size.
