Popis: | Various compositions of hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) doped ceramics in the compound [(70-x)BaCO3-30TiO2-xBN] (x = 0, 1, 3, and 5) were prepared using conventional solid-state reaction method. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed the formation of bulk and opaque samples that confirmed the highly crystalline nature of these ceramics. The structural, surface morphological and elemental analyses were carried out in brief by employing the distinct characterization techniques. To obtain the information about the bond formation among the used oxides/nitride in these composite ceramics the FTIR tests were performed. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to record the surface features at a desired magnification of the ceramic samples along with their grain and grain boundary distributions. The energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) was also carried out in detail for the Gold (Au) coated ceramic samples and determines the average elemental compositions. |
