Microphone shaped Cu2Se micro/nano architecture: Preparation, formation mechanism and optical property

Popis: Cubic phase of microphone shaped Cu2Se microstructure with ultrathin nanosheet hierarchical structure was prepared for the first time by simply putting a rod-like Cu(OH)2 precursor into a Se2− solution and reacting for 4 h at room temperature, using no template. The formation mechanism and its optical property were also studied. The results show that Ostwald ripening, transformation of precipitate and oriented growth and assembly of the Cu2Se nanocrystals are involved in the formation process of the microphone shaped Cu2Se micro/nano architecture. The band gap energy of the microphone shaped Cu2Se is 2.03 eV. This facile synthetic method may open a door for morphology-controllable syntheses of selenide micro/nano architectures based on other transition metals.
