Influence of compositional heterogeneity on the structure, phase state and properties of concentrated solutions of polycarbonate-polydimethylsiloxane block copolymers and on the product membranes

Popis: A study was made of structural transitions occuring in concentrated solutions of the polyblock polycarbonate-polydimethylsiloxane block copolymers with various degrees of compositional heterogeneity. An increase in the degree of heterogeneity is accompanied by growth of the supermolecular formations in solution, and lead to the appearance of micellar structures. The structure and the permeability of membranes is related to the phase state of the solutions, and also to the degree of heterogeneity of samples of the block copolymers.
