Popis: | The dynamic response characteristics of thermal power plants identified by power output versus time are influenced by fuel type, boiler and turbine designs, and also by the overall unit control arrangements. These factors influence significantly how a unit responds in meeting scheduled and unexpected demands imposed by the grid system to which it is connected. The paper presents typical stored energy, thermal inertia and unit responses as measured on various types of thermal power plant and control configurations for reheat units in the output range 120-800 MW, burning coal, oil and gas, in various countries, namely Australia (AUS), Germany (D), Denmark (DMK), United Kingdom (GB), Ireland (IRL), Japan (J) and South Africa (RSA). |
