γ-ray emission probabilities for the 232U decay chain

Popis: Emission probabilities for several γ rays from members of the 232 U decay chain have been determined. The emission probabilities of the 57 and 129 keV γ rays from the 232 U decay were determined by 4π α−γ coincidence counting and γ-ray spectrometry. For chain equilibrium the emission probabilities, as number of γ rays per 100 decays of 228 Th, for the 583- and 2614-keV 208 Tl γ rays were calculated from a measured α branch intensity and decay scheme parameters. The γ-ray emission probabilities, as number of γ rays per 100 decays of 228 Th, for the other chain member activities were also measured.
