MIMO technology (Multiple Input - Multiple Output) is increasingly used in modern radar. MIMO technology applied to radar technique, as in the case of radiocommunications, offers new possibilities in the field of signal processing, allowing a significant improvement in differentiation of the system and increased interference immunity. One of the basic parameters characterizing the detected object is radar cross section (RCS). This parameter is subject to very large changes in the function of the angle of incidence of the electromagnetic waves so that the level the echo signal from the object subject to significant fluctuations. One way to eliminate this phenomenon is the resignation of monostatic configuration of the radar system. Bistatic systems, in spite of improving the conditions of reflection, relative to the monostatic radar, are burdened with dependency of quality parameters to determine the position to the value of the reflection angle. The use of multiple space deployed transmitters and receivers allows to mitigate these negative effects. The article presents an analysis of the radar echo signals in a MIMO system, and presents the results of a simulation of the system for a given form of the probe signal. Research carried out for both point and complex objects, with different configurations of transmitters and receivers arrangements of the system. The article presents selected, representative simulation results. |
