ABSTRACT Delay of clamping and cutting of the umbilical cord can affect newborns because the oxygenation of the baby through the placenta is still running and blood is still being transfused to the baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effect of the method of cutting the talipusat immediately after birth and a 6 hour Delayed Cord Clamping (DCC) newborn hemoglobin. This type of research is Quasi experiment, the post test-only control group design research design and non-probability sampling techniques with 15 samples from each group. Data analysis using mann-whitney U test. Univariate analysis, samples that were carried out by the method of clamping the talipusat cutting immediately after birth were mostly found in normal categorical hemoglobin levels (100%), sample studies conducted by Delayed Cord Clamping (DCC) method were mostly found in normal categorical hemoglobin levels (80%) and high category (20%) The results showed that there was a relationship between cord cutting shortly after birth and the 6-hour Delayed Cord clamping (DCC) method with an increased incidence of higher hemoglobin levels in the DCC (Delayed Cord Clamping) group (p = 0.002). For health workers, it is expected that the results of this study can be made an overview of the benefits of the Delayed Cord Clamping (DCC) method for hemoglobin levels in efforts to prevent anemia in newborns. Keywords: Method, Hemoglobin Level, DCC (Delayed Cord Clamping).
