In this paper, we are analyzing the role of a teacher and the environment in the development of abilities of a child to comprehend and respect a piece of art, and to gain new knowledge and skills with the aid of a piece of art, etc. We are studying the significance of interaction between a child, teacher and the work of visual arts, as well, in the process during which a child receives and gets to know the art as a part of cultural heritage, identity and tradition of previous generations. Our aim is to get to know whether by the means of adequate leading, based on the natural abilities of a child to perceive, create and comprehend the piece of art, a teacher can teach a child why people create pieces of art and what is the significance of art in everyday life. Analysis of domestic and foreign reference books point at the necessity for teachers to be sufficiently trained for teaching in this context, to pay special attention to selection of the works of art, as well as to enable developmentally encouraging environment, so that a child would gain new knowledge and skills in the active role in his/her own development. |
